About the Role
To support the Business Managers to achieve their centre outcomes by sourcing, engaging and securing a wide range of work placements and the progression of learners into employment or apprenticeships for our Traineeship programme. Planning, securing and managing placements by working with employers, completing relevant placement documentation including health and safety assessments, monitoring and validation of learner hours and work experience on DBC Training’s systems.
Being an ambassador, promoting DBC and the existing services delivered to fill our Traineeship programmes, creating for learners their gateway to progress.
Responsibilities
Identify and secure Placements for learners
Identify and develop relationships with work placement employers and assess the compliance of the work placement with Health and Safety risk assessment and other relevant criteria
Ensure that learners are familiar with their responsibilities on work placement through delivering inductions to include health and safety and child protection / the protection of vulnerable adults
Complete and maintain all work placement documentation including safety assessments
Update and ensure accurate employer and learner records are maintained
Organise placement interviews for employer and learner
Manage learner attendance evidence
Act as the local Safeguarding Representative, ensure company procedures are adhered to
Any other duties as required by the SMT and line manager.
Skills and Experience
Experience of working in a performance targeted environment
Experience of securing work placement for young people
Experience of recording and maintaining records for learners
Experience in recruiting employers for work placements
Experience of working in a customer facing environment
Good communicator both written and verbally
Sensitive to the needs of learners, young people and vulnerable members of society
Ability to travel around East Midlands
Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
Resilient and able to seek new placement opportunities
Able to work as an integral team member
Able to deliver work at a high standard
IOSH working safely
IAG Level 3 qualification (desirable)
