SUPPLY CHAIN & WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

This Apprenticeship is ideal for any individual in a supply chain or warehouse setting who works flexibly; including working different shift patterns or across different departments.

We support those in moving, packing and stock management roles in your organisation.

 

That could be new apprentices recruited to your business or to existing staff as staff development to help nurture talent and promote from within. We work with you to create a programme with clear progression pathways that support staff retention.

Typically, individuals on this apprenticeship are responsible for managing the movement of goods and products for a variety of customers that can range from large global organisations moving goods internationally to sole traders and private customers working in local areas.

We provide an improved understanding of topics such as; safe working practices, warehouse operations and processes, technology to improve productivity and working effectively with colleagues to improve performance.

SUPPLY CHAIN PRACTITIONER

Start date: Flexible

Level: 3

Typical Duration: 24 Months 

We've designed this Apprenticeship to ensure individuals gain all the skills needed to become a competent and confident Supply Chain Practitioner. We can offer this as a starting point for an existing staff member or as progression following our Supply Chain & Warehouse Operative apprenticeship programme.

At this level we first work with you to understand how your business operates and we focus on developing skills in; forecasting demand, working with hauliers and logistics partners, scheduling and rota planning, liaising with suppliers, analysing stock data and managing stock control levels.

Throughout the course we support; improving operational performance, resolving problems in supply chain practice, implement and usage of management systems, promotion of health & safety standards and principles of procurement.

Apprentices develop core skills, including: using continuous improvement techniques, leading on the creation of Standard Operating Procedures, analysing and interpreting data, using IT systems and completing supply chain documentation.
