Job Title: Quality Assurance & Curriculum Manager

Job Purpose:

The Quality Assurance and Curriculum Manager will work alongside the Apprenticeship Performance Manager and Development Coaches to deliver high quality programmes and continually improve the performance of staff against company KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a quality orientated delivery with sustainable improvements that evidences impact for all learners. 

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative audits and reviews as required to ensure excellent quality of delivery and a fully compliant workforce.

  • Develop and promote high quality curriculum delivery.

  • Complete IQA activities on Team Leading 3 and Operational Management Level 5 apprenticeship standards

  • Maintain good practice aligned to Awarding Organisation standards and Ofsted requirements

  • Coordinate end point assessment, acting as the key point of contact with EPAO’s, ensuring timely achievement of apprenticeship standards.

  • Support with self-assessment and development planning activities.

  • To assure the Quality of Training, by implementing, supporting and monitoring curriculum development to ensure all learners benefit from high quality programmes and positive outcomes.

  • Co-ordinate the development of a curriculum that is ambitious and designed to give all learners a positive learning experience

  • Provide delivery staff with information and support materials, as required, supporting the programme delivery. This includes supporting the revision and or development of new materials within the learner management system.

  • Support and coordinate the design of programme delivery models that meet the needs of all learners and employers with positive outcomes.

  • Support delivery staff with the progression of learners through milestones and preparation for gateway 

  • Plan and monitor delivery staff practices to meet the demands of high quality provision across the learning journey from starting point to EPA

  • Develop, plan and Manage CPD that is deemed necessary and appropriate for all members of the team

  • Plan, operate and evaluate Internal Quality Assurance Systems including policy, procedures and practices through coaching and standardisation activities 

  • Through “deep dive” and learning walk quality assurance processes, ensure learners take pride in their learning and develop the behaviours and attitudes needed to progress and shows respect for others

  • Through learner interviews and quality samples, ensure learners are progressing through their programme and are on target to achieve within the time frame 

  • To work with the Apprenticeship Performance Manager identifying learners at risk and any subsequent trends

  • Monitor the use of learner systems and commitment to learners learning

  • Assure the quality of learning in the wider context.

  • Ensure Learner and Employer voice is captured, analysed and used to inform improvements and provision

  • Monitor the wider development of learners to achieve their full potential

  • Implement resources to support delivery staff to prepare learners for life in Modern Britain, promoting Equality and Diversity, the Prevent Duty and British values

  • Support delivery staff to promote and develop learner’s personal skills

  • Monitor the quality of the CEIAG being delivered across all learners

  • Make recommendations to the team and SMT on areas for business improvements.

  • Record, respond and manage any complaints and concerns, ensuring the SMT is kept informed and improvement actions taken.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications required:

  • Must have experience of working in a quality assurance / curriculum manager role in previous roles

  • Must have experience of delivering training up to Level 5 and a cross a range of ages.

  • Must have experience in learner observations

  • Must hold a current Internal Quality Assurance qualification

  • Must of have experience of Internal Quality Assurance for Team Leading Level 3 and Operational Management Level 5 (CMI/ILM) apprenticeship programmes

  • Must have an excellent understanding of Ofsted

  • Must hold a Full UK driving licence

  • Be flexible with a positive attitude

  • Ability to cope under pressure

  • Ensure timely and effective communication with staff, learners and employers to support excellent outcomes for learners.
