UK Community Renewal Fund

We’re delighted to share that DBC have been awarded a UK Community Renewal Fund contract to pilot, test and evaluate new ways of delivering employment and skills training to Derbyshire and Derby city residents - helping to create opportunities, unlock potential and safeguard jobs.

The £220 million UK Community Renewal Fund will provide funding to help places across the UK prepare for the introduction of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Contributing to the levelling up agenda by investing in people, places, businesses and communities improving everyday life across the UK.

Using our extensive experience of successful ESIF project delivery we will work with the lead authority Derbyshire County Council to help deliver a step-change in localised programme delivery. The Better Futures project will take advantage of the flexibilities introduced under the CRF to pilot new engagement, delivery methods and interactions to help reach rural communities, and support the funding of job-critical licenses to practice to help open pathways to employment and also safeguard existing jobs.
