Matt Mcloughlin was initially referred to DBC Training from the Job Centre after a long absence from employment.
He signed up to our Customer Service course last October to gain the correct skills to find a job. His absence from work had seen Matt lose some of his confidence and wanted to use the course to rejuvenate his career.
Our 2-week course ensured Matt worked on job-specific skills, such as roles and responsibilities, approaching different customers and situations. Which Matt found beneficial when it came to applying and interviewing for the job.
However Matt highlighted that it was his personal qualities that the course helped the most; " The course was fantastic, Wayne (Tutor) was incredible, he was approachable and we had a great laugh. He helped to improve my confidence. Whilst also working on my telephone manner and approaching different customers".
After completing the course, Matt was asked to interview for the job of 'Customer Service Assistant' at 'First Source' and was successful in securing the role.
