DBC Training Shortlisted as Finalists at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2020
We're delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as finalists for the 'Commitment to People Development' award at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2020.

The ‘Commitment to People Development’ award recognises organisations which demonstrate a firm commitment to people development and the implementation and promotion of a learning and development culture, as well as how employee wellbeing is supported. Entrants must demonstrate how their learning and development culture has contributed to the business’ overall success.
Our approach to learning and development is enshrined in our mission statement: “To spark potential and develop talent, to transform lives and fulfil aspirations”. We achieve this by providing high quality training to enhance individuals’ skills that in turn supports and develops businesses efficacy and ultimately enhances business and economic growth. Our mission is reinforced through our SPARK values, which personify our commitment to service excellence:
Sustainable Futures for All
Putting Learners First
Achieving Excellence
Results focussed
Kicking down barriers
The quality of our training is award-winning, with DBC being named the Business Administration Apprenticeship Provider of Year at the AAC Awards in 2020 and 2018.

Anthony Smith, Head of Strategic Development at DBC Training said: “We are delighted that DBC Training is named amongst the finalists for the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2020. There are some outstanding examples of commitment to people development amongst our business community and we’re incredibly proud of all the team at DBC Training for their hard work and recognition of our Commitment to People Development as an organisation. Developing people to achieve better careers is what we do best and something we strive to deliver for our own workforce through our Spark Apprentices. Best of luck to all the finalists and we look forward to the results!”
Scott Knowles, Chief Executive of East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire), said: “Our Business Awards are always a great opportunity to showcase enterprise success in the region, but perhaps this year will be even more special during what has been a hugely difficult time for many businesses.
“It was great to see that Covid-19 hasn’t stifled innovation, resilience, and a determination to grow and succeed among the region’s business community, with a very high number of applicants.”
