Overall Job Purpose:

Support learners into work. To maximise our employment support contracts by engaging employers to secure vacancies for our learners and supporting learning to secure employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively promote DBC Training’s recruitment, training and development programmes through identifying, engaging and securing new business via outbound sales calls, presentations and face to face meetings. 

  • Develop links with employers to secure both employment and work placement opportunities that meet the need of our learner groups. 

  • Ensure all employer and learner records are maintained and kept up-to-date. 

  • Develop and grow new business pipeline to meet monthly targets and maintain individual job target records and reports ensuring personal performance is in line with agreed KPI’s at all times. 

  • Identify new business via research, daily cold calling and calling warm leads. 

  • Attend appropriate networking and employer events to develop new opportunities this may require you to work early mornings and evenings. 

  • Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector, particularly those which may impact on compliance. 

  • Maintain effective relationships with all internal colleagues to ensure services are delivered to an excellent standard that will maximise opportunities to provide added value programmes and services 

  • Demonstration up to date understanding of all contracts, content and eligibility 

  • Keep up to date with Government, LEP and sector developments and priorities 

  • Provide regular and accurate activity reports 

  • Actively promote DBC Training in the local community

Experience and Skills:

  • Used to working towards and hitting targets 

  • Experience of working within Welfare to Work would be ideal 

  • Experience of engaging with employers 

  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills 

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills 

  • To hold (or pass) an Enhanced DBS check 

  • Knowledge of the Welfare to Work and FE sector, Apprenticeships and funded programmes 

  • Knowledge of recruitment processes and targets 

  • Confident, professional with a positive attitude 

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of customer service
