Key Responsibilities:
-
2 years’ experience from an employability/skills background
-
Experience of the D2N2 region and surrounding geographies
-
Proven track record in lead generation and sales closing
-
Used to working towards and hitting team and individual targets
-
Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external)
-
Ability to line manage a team
-
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
-
Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
-
Knowledge of local labour markets and population/demographics
-
Knowledge of the FE sector, ESF, Apprenticeships and funded programmes
Experience and Skills:
-
Effectively manage the employability sales team including the Learner Engagement function and team
-
Understand eligibility criteria and programme offer for all of DBC’s funded and commercial programmes to ensure a joined up offer to employers and stakeholders
-
Promote the offer to stakeholders and employers in the Midlands
-
Identification of key employers, or employer groups, and lead on ensuring targeting of employers
-
Gather employer and sector intelligence to develop programme offer
-
Actively contribute to business planning and performance monitoring to support agreement and delivery of targets
-
Contribute to the development and implementation of DBC training’s sales strategy
-
Analysis, circulation and action planning of regular MI, as agreed with line manager, to drive performance
-
Develop expertise in key employers, sectors and opportunities using these to drive innovation and growth

Work alongside Marketing to develop the relevant materials to support in exceeding targets

Keep up to date and report on Labour Market trends and requirements
-
Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector, particularly those which may impact on compliance.

Maintain effective relationships with all internal colleagues to ensure services are delivered to an excellent standard that will maximise opportunities to provide added value programmes and services

Demonstration up to date understanding of all contracts, content and eligibility

Keep up to date with Government, LEP and sector developments and priorities
