In-house External Recruiter

Salary: £30-£35k (Depending on experience)

Location: Derby (Head Office)

Overview of the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing award winning team where you will be responsible for ensuring that we provide a credible, efficient and effective  internal recruitment service and support office and legal functions. In this role you will provide an end to end internal recruitment service for the hiring department, ensuring a first-class end to end candidate and hiring manager experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with all departments to understand the demand for current and future resource requirements and creating recruitment plans to source the best talent for the business. 

Ensure robust talent pipelines that will satisfy the future business strategy, allowing top talent to be readily available to the business at all times.

Act as a brand ambassador across all social media channels, representing DBC in a professional and creative manner at all times, raising the profile of the business functions
Provide regular  recruitment market insights via research, events and networking to ensure DBC are up to date on economic trends, new technology and competitor analysis.

Takes a customer led approach in all recruitment activity, ensuring that as a business we give an exceptional experience to all of our candidates at each stage of the recruitment process. This will involve preparing candidates for interview, giving and receiving feedback and negotiating successful offers

Understand the market for talent against all key pipelines, using this expertise to shape and work with recruitment marketing team to generate and deliver relevant attraction campaigns and develop short and long term plan for the business

Develop an attractive employee incentive scheme whilst ensuring business viability

Knowledge of recruitment attraction strategies, including social media and campaign management

Manage hiring manager expectations, setting realistic timescales and proactively managing the recruitment lifecycle

Key attributes:

  • Knowledge of recruitment attraction strategies, including social media and campaign management

  • Experience of recruiting in the FE Sector

  • Knowledge and experience of delivering recruitment pipeline strategies

  • Experience of interviewing and selection design

Other duties will include:

  • Tracking CPD activity

  • Support with 121 processes and ensuring they are being completed

  • Complete staff surveys

  • Assist with achieving IIP status and other accreditations 

  • Standardisation of all Job Descriptions

  • Planning and costing a company reward/perk scheme

  • Assistance with external learner recruitment in quiet times
