Business Development Executive
Department: Business Development
Reporting to: Director of Business Growth
Location: East Midlands
Key Responsibilities:

Contacting businesses and private individuals by telephone, face to face meetings to promote our contract portfolio focussing on apprenticeships and traineeships

Explain DBC’s products/services to potential customers and promote training solutions

Handle inbound client queries and convert into sales opportunities

Conduct business needs analysis to secure suitable skills/commercial opportunities
-
Record customer details including reaction to the product or service offered
-
Review and develop regional engagement plan based on local labour market demands
-
Proactively follow up leads generated from canvassing by colleagues
-
Deliver and contribute to DBC training’s sales strategy and employer engagement
-
Contact customers to follow up on initial interaction and progress to sale

Use of initiative to identify opportunities with companies who are not already on the database

Manage the database to a high degree of accuracy to ensure targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new business

Achieving personal and department KPI targets set by the business on a monthly and quarterly basis

Communicating professionally with all levels of clients to ensure the recruitment process is a success

Completion of necessary paperwork to high standards to ensure compliance with funding body requirements

Actively promote DBC Training in the local community and raise company profile

Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector

Undertake any other routine task as required by DBC Training
Experience and Skills:
-
Ideally come from an apprenticeships/work based learning background
-
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of customer service

Recent experience of working within a sales environment preferably in a proactive field based role

Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills including Teams / Skype etc.

High degree of accuracy and data management within a CRM

Demonstrated ability to prioritise issues to meet deadlines

Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external)

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
